What does “double-face dipping” mean?
A player from my hometown won a championship and my friend from another country told me “You commited the ultimate sin. You double-face dipped.” What does he mean?

Double-faced dipping really refers to a method of coating steel tubes, which replaced the need to re-coat them every year. I think your friend was being obscure, but what he meant was that you scored twice, for the champion player was not only from your country but also from your home town – a double reason for you to celebrate !
