How do u make these fabric flowers? (look at link below)?
i recently purchased one of these headbands and i want to create my own version! Does anyone have an idea how to make these? thanx!

Rivers just started this craft, and so far I made roses out of wide wired sheer ribbon. And another kind with one big flower, and some tiny flowers of gathered strips of fabric. Barbie[tm] loves the small ones, they look great on her fairy princess dress that I made..
All you do for that one is make a long strip of material, double it over, and baste it with long stitches along the raw edges. Finish the two end raw edges with a stitch or two. gather the fabric along the baste, and just grab an end twirl it on itself, and keep twirling until all the fabric is gathered into a flower shape. Turn it over, and taking long stitches, catch all the edges of the flower across, and diagonal. tie it off. Done. You can sew a little piece of folded material over the stitches if you want.
That is what I did, made a great flower, but I hated the stitching on the back. I just happened to be at Walmart, there was a pkg of fabric flowers, and I was able to see the back of them. Sure enough, there were the stitches, in plain view.
