Has anybody ever stripped a sofa down to the frame and springs and rebuilt it?
My dogs have pretty well eaten the one in my den, upholstery, padding, batting, etc.. But the frame is solid and the springs are good ( and I liked the style), so I’d like to replace the foam, batting and fabric and reuse it. But I want to do it myself. Have you done this? Was it hard or complicated? Any advice? (Please don’t tell me to have it done. I don’t wanna). Thanks.
yes i have, several actually, including single antique chairs, and chaise lounges, it’s not as hard as it appears, as long as sewing is not involved, in which case you would have to get seams etc, in the exact right place. give it a go!!!!
