question about sewing patterns?
I am looking into making some nursing scrubs using patterns. I bought a brand new factory folded uncut pattern on ebay. Now when I get it, it says its for three different sizes. If I cut it to one size, will I be able to make the other sizes too? I am losing weight and would like to make a XL now, but eventually I’ll need a L or M. Or will I have to buy new patterns each time? And are patterns reusable?
Yes the pattern if cut and folded to your size now can be used over and over again in the variety of sizes….I do it all the time as I have many grandchildren I sew for……..when you are cutting the xl on the corresponding cut line and come to a place where a new size line is outside the xl cutting line then just fold over the tissue…most of the times it is the crotch area, arms, shoulders that would have that area you would need to fold in……….if there is a curved area that can’t be folded just snip into the tissue to allow it to be folded with out distorting the size you are cutting………
