cake emergency!!?
today’s my little brother’s birthday so i’m making a cake. i’m usually pretty good at it. people usually like when i bake, but i’m having a really stupid kind of day as in im an idiot. iput ALL the batter into this little round metal pan. the pan must be about 8 inches in diameter and maybe 3 inches deep. then i put it in the oven. it’s been 30 minutes and it’s still not done, but it has overflowed and there is a burnt smell which must mean that the parts that overflowed must have burnt on the outside of the pan. i don’t know what to do! i’ve never been THAT stupid while baking! should i take it out unfinished and move it to another pan? but won’t it then go flat since it’s not cooked inside?should i wait till it’s done, cut off the edges and frost it, hoping that my screw up isn’t too noticeable? please help!
oh! i do have another cake mix. should i just throw the first one out and start over or is there anything i can do to salvage this one?
if it was a box mix you should of poured into two 8 inch pans.
taking out and trying to move it wont work. lower temp a bit cook it until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean and pray that the bottom does burn before the middles cooks.
after it cools off use a serated knife to trim it up then cover with lots of frosting and sprinkles etc to hide any imprefections
